Each year, the Idaho Business Review’s Excellence in Finance awards recognize financial professionals who are “setting a high bar for their company and Idaho’s business economy.” Montana & Idaho CDC is excited to share that Betsy Beauvais, Director of Lending was one of this year’s 16 honorees, and was recognized at an event in Boise in August.
As Director of Lending, Betsy and her team serve as the initial point of contact for every small business loan, helping clients from their initial inquiry all the way through the underwriting and closing process. Betsy’s work in Idaho has included helping rural, economically disadvantaged, and otherwise un-bankable small business owners and entrepreneurs. She works to ensure they establish relationships with banks after receiving loans from Montana & Idaho CDC.
Here’s what loan client Susan Loyd of Tin Roof Tacos has said about Betsy:
Betsy understood what we were trying to achieve with our vision of the restaurant. She spent time getting to know us, asking hard questions…she and her team were willing to see beyond ratios and restrictions to recognize the hard work and passion my sister and I were going to put into our endeavor to make it successful.
It’s been 2 years since we first started working with Betsy and Montana & Idaho CDC. They’ve been great partners as we have grown. Currently she is helping us expand our concept into a new market. Betsy has been a great resource to us as women restauranteurs. She is a true advocate for investing in communities through smart small business financing.
